I decided to begin my journey at a major online retailer. At the time, they were one of the most exciting online companies and it was an amazing place to get my start as a bedding buyer. However, I was appalled at the quality of their bedding department and I made it a point to give my clients the very best value for their money. That was the day I started my quest to find every bedding manufacturer in North America and learn about their manufacturing processes. It’s safe to say that I became even more obsessed.

 

 

 

After high school, I went and got a degree in fashion marketing. It opened my eyes to the complexities of quality designs and fabrics, as well as the nuances of merchandising. Getting my fashion marketing degree was an enlightening time where I gained knowledge and discovered new things… but it was just thebeginning.

After graduating, I hit the jackpot and got an internship at Moschino head office in New York. It was a dream come true. Moschino taught me to never be afraid of creativity and to pursue my dreams at all costs. When my internship came to an end, I knew I was ready for the big world of bedding.

I worked twelve-hour days, often seven days a week, learning about thread counts, weaves, different materials, and generally everything there is to know about the vast world of bedding. I am proud to say that my hard work paid off and our customers began to respond positively to the higher quality bedding that I was able to find. I grew their bedding department from $200k a month to $3 million per month in a short period of time. That’s when it dawned on me: people need high- quality bedding at an affordable price. Clearly, people were fed up with over-priced and low-quality options at big box stores and wanted more.

 

 

Being young and full of energy, I was always looking for new challenges. So, I took a new job at an online boutique site to give them some much needed help with their bedding department. I am proud to say that I was a vital part in building their reputation for quality bedding at a great value. My goal was to make sure that no one had to sleep on a set of linens that they did not love.

Working for major online retailers were some of the best years of my life, but I felt as though I had outgrown them. As amazing as those companies were, they did not specialize in bedding. They were more so big online sites that happened to have bedding departments. I felt very strongly that bedding should not just be another facet of a larger store, but that it deserved its own specialty boutique where clients could find the best products and where I could share all the knowledge I had gained.

 

 

My obsession with bedding needed a vessel and that’s when I decided to open Love Your Linens. I didn’t want bedding to have to share the spotlight; it should be the star of the show. After many years in the bedding industry, I felt confident that I could disrupt the scene and provide people with the best shopping experience on the market. I am ecstatic to say that I am now living my dream and providing people with the highest quality sheets, pillows and duvets that they genuinely love.
